I saw an early Explorer 14270 with an E serial- this would be with lugholes and a 78360 bracelet- circa 1990 maybe. The 1016 ran at least thru the R serial, maybe into the L serial. Around 1999, the 14270 lost it's lugholes and the short clasp with the safety fliplock showed up.
